Nickel Alloy Sheet & Plate

Nickel Sheet & Plate Supplier in Mumbai, India

Nicorex Alloys is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified importer, stockist, and supplier of nickel sheets and plates in Mumbai, India. We stock Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 in thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 50 mm and widths up to 2500 mm under ASTM B162 / ASME SB-162. Stocked forms include hot rolled plates, cold rolled sheets, coils, strips, and shims. All shipments carry EN 10204/3.1B mill test certificates.

Nickel 200 and 201 are commercially pure wrought nickel alloys (min 99.0% Ni). They resist caustic alkalis, offer high thermal and electrical conductivity, and are ferromagnetic. These products serve chemical processing, caustic soda production, food processing, marine, aerospace, electronics, and power generation.

We stock a wide range of Nickel sheets and plates in multiple grades, including:

What are Nickel Sheets and Plates?

Nickel sheets and plates are flat products from commercially pure wrought nickel. Sheets are under 4.76 mm thick for lighter-gauge work. Plates are 4.76 mm and above for pressure vessels. Both grades are often supplied as dual-certified Nickel 200/201 material.

Nickel 200 has 0.15% max carbon and is limited to below 600°F (315°C). Nickel 201 has 0.02% max carbon and is approved up to 1250°F (677°C) per ASME Section VIII, Division 1. Above 600°F, Nickel 200 risks graphitisation, which weakens its mechanical properties. Both grades offer thermal conductivity of 70.2 W/m·K and high electrical conductivity.

Available Grades of Nickel Sheets & Plates

Nicorex Alloys provides Nickel sheets and plates in 2 grades.

Nickel 200 Sheet & Plate

Nickel 200 is a commercially pure nickel with 0.15% max carbon. It resists caustic alkalis and reducing acids. Its use is limited to below 600°F (315°C). This grade is used in chlor-alkali plants, electronics, food processing, and marine systems.

Nickel 201 Sheet & Plate

Nickel 201 is a low-carbon version with 0.02% max carbon. This grade is approved up to 1250°F (677°C) per ASME Section VIII, Division 1. It is used in caustic evaporators, combustion boats, and high-temperature processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Nickel Sheet and Plate?
Nickel sheets and plates are flat-form products made from commercially pure wrought nickel (min 99.0% Ni). Available in Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 grades, they offer exceptional resistance to caustic alkalis, excellent thermal/electrical conductivity, and high ductility.
Nickel 200 has 0.15% max carbon, limited to below 600°F (315°C). Nickel 201 has 0.02% max carbon, approved up to 1250°F (677°C). Nickel 200 risks graphitisation above 600°F.
ASTM B162 / ASME SB-162 covers both Nickel 200 and 201. AMS 5553 covers aerospace sheet.
Industries such as chemical processing (chlor-alkali, caustic soda), food processing, marine engineering, electronics and electroplating, aerospace, pharmaceutical manufacturing, synthetic fibre production, and power generation use Nickel sheets and plates.
Yes. Both grades weld using GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and SMAW with Nickel Filler Metal 61 (ERNi-1, AWS A5.14) for GTAW/GMAW or Welding Electrode 141 (ENi-1, AWS A5.11) for SMAW. Post-weld heat treatment is not required.
Nickel 200 is limited to 600°F (315°C) due to graphitisation.
