Nickel Fasteners

Nickel Fasteners Supplier in Mumbai, India

Nicorex Alloys is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified importer, stockist, and supplier of Nickel fasteners in Mumbai, India. We stock Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 bolts, nuts, studs, screws, washers, and threaded rods under ASTM F467, ASTM F468, ASTM B160, and ASTM B564.

Nickel fasteners are commercially pure nickel alloys with min 99.0% nickel. They offer good resistance to caustic alkalis (NaOH, KOH) at many concentrations up to the boiling point. These fasteners serve caustic soda production, chemical processing, food processing, electronics, aerospace, and pharmaceutical industries. All shipments include EN 10204/3.1B mill test certificates.

We stock a wide range of Nickel Fasteners in multiple grades, including:

What Are Nickel Fasteners?

Nickel fasteners are joining hardware made from commercially pure nickel. Nickel 200 (0.15% C max) and Nickel 201 (0.02% C max) are the two standard grades. In caustic soda service, pure nickel resists caustic cracking at all NaOH concentrations up to 50% to the boiling point. Carbon steel and stainless steel bolts fail under these conditions. Nickel fasteners are non-contaminating, which is critical in food-grade and electronic-grade processing. Nickel 201 must be specified above 315°C (600°F) because Nickel 200 suffers graphite precipitation at grain boundaries.

Available Grades of Nickel Fasteners

Nicorex Alloys stocks Nickel fasteners in two grades.

Nickel 200 Fasteners

Nickel 200 is the standard commercially pure nickel grade under ASTM F467/F468. It has min 99.0% Ni, 0.15% C max, and an annealed tensile strength of min 380 MPa (55 ksi). 200 resists caustic alkalis, dry chlorine, and hydrogen chloride gas. It is ferromagnetic. UNS N02200 is not suitable above 315°C (600°F) due to carbon precipitation.

Nickel 201 Fasteners

Nickel 201 is a low-carbon version of Nickel 200 with 0.02% C max under ASTM B160/B564. Its tensile is min 345 MPa (50 ksi). 201 has the same corrosion resistance as Nickel 200. It is required above 315°C (600°F) where Nickel 200 suffers grain boundary graphite precipitation.

Industries and Applications of Nickel Fasteners

Nickel fasteners are used in seven key industries where resistance to caustic chemicals and high purity are critical:

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of Nickel fasteners does Nicorex Alloys supply?
Nicorex Alloys stocks and supplies hex bolts, stud bolts (double-end studs), socket head cap screws, hex nuts (heavy hex, lock, flange), flat and spring washers, Belleville washers, threaded rods, U-bolts, set screws, eye bolts, and precision screw machine products in Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201) with UNC, UNF, metric, BSW, and BSF thread forms. All fasteners are supplied with EN 10204-3.1 Mill Test Certificate.
Specify Nickel 201 when service exceeds 315°C (600°F). The higher carbon in Nickel 200 causes graphite precipitation and embrittlement at these temperatures. Below 315°C, Nickel 200 is preferred for higher strength.
Stainless steel bolts suffer caustic stress corrosion cracking in NaOH above 25% at temperatures over 100°C. Nickel 200/201 resists caustic cracking at all concentrations up to 50% NaOH to the boiling point.
Nickel 200/201 gives high caustic alkali resistance. Monel 400 gives better seawater and hydrofluoric acid resistance with higher strength. Choose Nickel for caustic service, Monel for seawater and HF acid.
No. Nickel 200/201 has poor resistance to oxidising acids like nitric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid (above 80% at elevated temperatures), and chromic acid. For oxidising acid service, specify Hastelloy C-family alloys, titanium, or high-chromium stainless steels instead.
The maximum service temperature for nickel fasteners is between 1,300°F and 2,000°F (700 oC-1090 oC).
ASTM F468 covers 1/4″ (M6) to 1-1/2″ (M36) as standard. Larger sizes up to 4″ (M100) come from ASTM B160 bar stock. All shipments include EN 10204/3.1B mill test certificates.
