The alloy has a nominal composition of 57% nickel, 16% chromium, 16% molybdenum, 4% tungsten and very low carbon (≤0.01%). This balance provides excellent resistance in both reducing and oxidising environments and helps prevent carbide precipitation during welding. Its pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) is about 69, and the critical pitting temperature (CPT) is above 150°C in acidified 6% FeCl₃. The minimum tensile strength is 690 MPa (100 ksi), the minimum yield strength is 283 MPa (41 ksi), and the minimum elongation is 40%. Buttweld fittings include elbows (45°, 90°, 180°), tees, reducers, caps, stub ends and crosses, in accordance with ASME B16.9.
C276 fittings are available in buttweld sizes from NPS 1/2″ to 24″. They are solution annealed at or above 1121°C (2050°F) and rapidly water quenched, so no post‑weld heat treatment is needed. All fittings are NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 compliant and supplied with EN 10204/3.1 MTCs for every shipment.

B366 buttweld fittings inherit composition from source material (B622 pipe, B619 pipe, or B575 plate). Low C (≤0.01%) prevents carbide precipitation; low Si (≤0.08%) prevents µ phase. Mo (16%) resists HCl, H₂SO₄, and chloride pitting. Cr (16%) handles HNO₃ and FeCl₃. Always verify that MTC 3.1 certifies composition for both source material and finished fitting.
