Available Grades of Hastelloy Fasteners
Hastelloy C276 Fasteners
C276 is the most widely used corrosion-resistant nickel alloy. It handles sulfuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, and mixed acids. This grade is NACE MR0175 qualified and complies with ASTM F467/F468 standard.
Hastelloy C22 Fasteners
C22 has 22% chromium for better pitting resistance in oxidising acid conditions. It is preferred for pharmaceutical service and is manufactured as per ASTM F467/F468 standard.
Hastelloy C2000 Fasteners
C2000 contains 1.6% copper for sulfuric and hydrofluoric acid resistance. It bridges C276 and C22 performance. C2000 complies with the ASTM B574 standard.
Hastelloy B2 Fasteners
B2 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy for hydrochloric acid at all concentrations. It is not suitable for oxidising conditions. ASTM B335 standard covers this grade.
Hastelloy B3 Fasteners
B3 is an upgraded version of B2 with good thermal stability and weld zone resistance. It is preferred for all new designs and complies with the ASTM B335 standard.
Hastelloy X Fasteners
Hastelloy X retains strength up to 1200°C (2200°F). Used for gas turbine and furnace bolting. ASTM B572 is the standard that covers this grade.
